Dear [Local MP],

High fuel prices are literally forcing people off the roads. They have become a poverty trap, crushing businesses and families - and they are not working for the Government either.

Will you sign the Petrol Promise, and stand up for working people? We are asking the Government to:

1) Pressure oil companies to reduce prices QUICKLY at the pumps.

2) Launch a tough investigation by the Office of Fair Trading, to see why market oil prices are so astronomically high.

3) Take action on petrol and diesel taxes, to FREEZE fuel duty until at least 2015.

We need EVERYONE to do their bit, to help cut fuel prices for millions of Brits.

Please do write back to me, and let me know your views.

Yours sincerely,

[Your Name]

I am unhappy about the disparity between petrol and diesel prices and suspect that diesel is actually much cheaper to make. It should therefore be cheaper than petrol at the pumps.

In a democracy the government has a duty to the electorate to safeguard them from being exploited in anyway whatsoever both morally and financially and this commercial deviant and corrupt matter should I would have thought automatically been a priority on the government's to do list.

Petrol prices are extortionate. It is crimnal if it is found to be made worse by price fixing.
